Left it to the last minute? Our office is open Monday – Friday, from 10am to 6pm. So if it is out of office hours and you would like to book for the same evening, or on the weekend, then you can call the venue directly. Dial 020 7613 1316 to speak to a manager, who will be able to check availability and assist you.
Booking Policy
A limited number of pool tables are available for pre-bookings.
Party bookings can be made as far in advance as you want and are charged at a premium of double the normal pool rate (ie. £20 instead of £10 per hour). This is the only way you can guarantee to get a table when you want it and stay on it for as long as you want. Your booking will be subject to a minimum of ten people per pool table – You are also required to spend a certain amount on food and drink for every pool table you book, this varies during the week. Monday, Tuesday and Sunday you are required to spend £150, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday £250 and Thursday £300 per pool table.
Standby bookings can be made from 7 days in advance if any of the tables allocated for pre-booking are still available. They are also charged at the premium rate and are for a maximum of two hours, but they are not subject to minimum numbers.
The Space
The Elbow Room in Shoreditch has a 600 capacity with seven pool tables, all in their own well defined space and ideally laid out for private parties. We can cater for anything between a small booking and a full-on party for 600, whether it’s a corporate event, an office party, a birthday party or an informal no-reason knees up. If you are coming with a large group of people and you want to stay on a pool table for longer than an hour you will need to pre-book. Competition
It is entirely possible to play a friendly game of pool with no competitive edge whatsoever. And you’ll have fun. But not nearly as much fun as you’ll have if you’re determined to win at all costs and get down to the thrill of a black ball showdown against your best mate, or your boss, or your boyfriend. There are all sorts of competition formats and we can advise on the most suitable for your needs. If you don’t want to have to worry about the organization on the night, we can provide you with a party host to host the event and act as arbiter in the event of any acrimonious rules disputes. We can also provide trophies and pool related prizes like cues, or even tables.

Pool pro
Add a little extra and hire a Pool pro for the night, to show you a few tricks and dish out a tip or two. We have two excellent house pros who charge £50 per hour for parties, but if you want someone a bit special just ask and we’ll see what we can do. We’ve had both Jimmy White and Steve Davis host parties in the past…
